Terms of Service

Last updated 2026-09-02.

Draft — written to accurately describe how mouroam actually works, for a lawyer to review before real launch. This is not legal advice and hasn’t had legal review yet.

1. What mouroam is

mouroam sells mobile-data eSIMs and VPN access, on a prepaid wallet balance. eSIMs are provided through a third-party supplier (currently SMSPool); VPN access is provided through a third-party reseller (currently VPNResellers). mouroam is not the network operator for either and doesn’t guarantee a specific supplier’s availability or reliability beyond the refund terms below.

2. Your account

You need an account (email and password, or Google sign-in) to use mouroam. You’re responsible for keeping your password secure and for anything that happens under your account. Tell us if you think someone else has access to it.

3. Your wallet and prices

mouroam runs on a prepaid wallet, denominated in US dollars. You add funds via MoMo or Orange Money (processed by Fapshi); the XAF amount you send is converted to USD at the rate shown before you pay. Prices for eSIMs and VPN access are always computed by our server from live supplier pricing — the price you’re shown at checkout is the price you’re charged, never a client-side estimate. Your balance can never go below zero.

4. Refunds

Refund terms are different for each product, and are shown to you before you pay:

  • eSIM: final once activated. There is no refund path for eSIM purchases — this is stated plainly before you confirm one.
  • VPN: if we can’t set up your VPN after payment, you’re refunded automatically. No action needed on your part. Once active, there is no refund path.

5. Acceptable use

Use mouroam for lawful purposes only. Full detail is in the Acceptable Use Policy— in short: no fraud, no bypassing another service’s verification or security systems, and no abuse of any kind. We can suspend or close an account for violating it, or for violating a supplier’s own terms.

6. Availability

mouroam depends on third-party suppliers (SMSPool for eSIMs, VPNResellers for VPN, Fapshi for payments) and can be affected by their outages or changes, outside of our control. We’ll do our best to keep the service running and your balance accurate, but we don’t guarantee uninterrupted availability.

7. Changes

We may update these terms as the product changes. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date at the top of this page.
